Job description

Maryland Heating & Air is growing fast—and we’re looking for a full-time HVAC Installation Technician who takes pride in doing clean, code-compliant installs. You’ll be responsible for residential and light commercial system replacements, working closely with a lead installer or solo (if experienced). If you want to be part of a tight-knit crew that respects your time and skill, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems (AC, furnaces, heat pumps, mini splits, etc.)

Set equipment, run line sets and electrical, and complete duct transitions

Perform system start-ups and verify proper operation and airflow

Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow best practices for safety and quality

Communicate with homeowners or site managers during install process

Ensure installs meet all local codes and pass inspections

Accurately complete install forms, job photos, and materials used in ServiceTitan

Coordinate with Install Manager on parts, timelines, and next steps

Help train apprentices and maintain high crew morale and workmanship

✅ Requirements:
5+ years of HVAC install experience

EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Ability to lift 75+ lbs, work in attics, crawlspaces, and on rooftops

Comfortable using work order software to document work daily

Detail-oriented, punctual, and takes pride in workmanship

Willingness to continue training and advance in the field

Bonus Points For:
Maryland journeyman HVAC license

Brazing, low-voltage wiring, and commissioning skills

Experience with high-efficiency or zoning systems

Sheet metal fabrication skills

Leadership ability or experience training apprentices
