We offer a full range of roadside safety products and onsite traffic services to our customers.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking to add a Superintendent for our construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Superintendent will play an integral role in leading work on job sites and ensuring safety and effective operations. The right individual is familiar with guardrail, cable (HTCB), steel barriers and signage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and organize equipment, labour, and materials for work completion
  • Work with project managers to organize project schedule, timelines, and deadlines for work completion
  • Communicate crew schedules, project work locations, and deadlines for completion
  • Oversee effective operations on project sites and ensure foreman meet expectations
  • Communicate equipment repairs and maintenance needs to the Director of Operations
  • Communicate with clients on-site regarding work completion and progress
  • Provide leadership, direction, and training to foreman and crews
  • Establish a culture of safety among the crews and ensure appropriate paperwork is completed
  • Lead, train, and mentor foreman and establish accountability for performance on work sites
  • Work with Human Resources in hiring foreman and crew labourers
  • Review and approve timesheets for crews
  • Comfortable driving a 2-ton and hauling trailers with various products or equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· 3-4 years previous construction experience

· Previous supervisory, foreman, or superintendent experience

· Preferably, experience with sign structures, cable barrier, or guard rail

· Construction safety training and valid safety tickets

· Safety-first mindset with strong leadership and communication skills

· Strong organization and attention to detail

· Leadership experience and ability to coach, mentor, and train

· Clean drivers abstract and valid driver’s license

HOURS OF WORK

Hours of work may vary depending upon project schedules and timelines; however, must be capable of working a minimum schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with weekend and evening work when required. Nights & Out of town work are required.
