Install Foreman (Fiber Optic)

Berthoud, CO
$30–$40/hr
Full-Time | Direct Hire


We are looking for an experienced Install Foreman to lead a field crew while remaining hands-on in the installation of fiber optic infrastructure. If you're a proven Fiber Technician with leadership experience and enjoy coaching teams while delivering high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you.

This position leads a crew of three technicians (1 Lead + 2 Apprentices) and oversees projects throughout Northern and Central Colorado.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and support a team of Fiber Installation Technicians.
  • Perform hands-on fiber optic installation.
  • Plan daily work and keep projects on schedule.
  • Train and mentor technicians.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance.
  • Communicate with Project Managers on project progress.
  • Complete field documentation and daily reports.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on fiber optic installation experience.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising field crews.
  • Experience with aerial and underground fiber installation.
  • Strong understanding of fiber construction methods and installation best practices.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop junior technicians.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.


Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 6:45 AM – 11:30 AM (as needed)
  • Four 10-hour workdays with occasional overtime or emergency outage support.


Territory

Travel throughout Northern and Central Colorado, covering projects from Cheyenne to Colorado Springs and eastward.

Company vehicle, tools, PPE, and equipment are provided. Vehicles are returned to the Berthoud shop daily unless assigned to a distant project.
