Job description

Job Summary

The HVAC Install Apprentice supports the installation team with residential HVAC system replacements, upgrades, and related work. This role assists lead installers with job site setup, material handling, equipment removal and installation, cleanup, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

This position is designed for someone who wants to learn the HVAC trade, develop technical skills, and grow into a future installer role within Best Care Home Services.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assist Lead Installers with residential HVAC equipment installations and replacements

  • Help load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily jobs

  • Prepare and maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites

  • Assist with removal of old equipment and installation of new HVAC systems

  • Support ductwork, equipment setting, pad preparation, and basic install tasks as directed

  • Learn proper use of tools, materials, and installation procedures

  • Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude in customers’ homes
    Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and job site expectations

  • Protect customer property and leave every job site clean and orderly

  • Communicate effectively with installers, dispatch, and leadership as needed

  • Participate in ongoing training and development to grow in technical ability and career readiness


Qualifications


  • Interest in learning HVAC installation and building a long-term career in the trades

  • Ability to follow instructions and work well under direction

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Positive attitude and team-player mentality

  • Good communication and professionalism

  • Ability to lift (50+ pounds), carry, push, and pull heavy equipment and materials

  • Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, garages, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
