Lochner, an Egis company is recruiting for a CEI Inspector in the Kentucky market. The ideal candidate will perform field inspections along with using material sampling, testing equipment and approve testing procedures.

Your impact:
  • Performs field inspections and assures that work meets standards and specifications.
  • Uses materials sampling and testing equipment and approved testing procedures.
  • Inspects traffic control and helps contractors maintain workplace safety standards.
  • Creates timely and succinct documentation of construction activities and inspection findings.
  • Operates company vehicle traveling to construction sites or delivering materials samples.

Who you are:
  • 2+ years of construction inspection experience - heavy highway/roadway construction experience is preferred.
  • A general knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications is mandatory.
  • Must possess a valid Kansas driver license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Requires good communication and documentation skills - must possess the ability to communicate findings or instructions with engineers, other inspectors, and material testing technicians.
  • Must be able to use an IPAD or equivalent to log daily inspection reports.
  • Job duties require travel anywhere in the state depending on project location.
  • Some overnight stays may be required for remote projects.
