JOB SUMMARY: This position is required to handle freight and receive all the freight into the PRMS system. Verify contents of packages meets the drawing specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
  • Un-load trucks
  • Moving freight
  • Data entry of freight documents into the AS400
  • Back up for receiving clerk
  • Follow general inspection guidelines to conduct non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies, and materials requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources. Document results in appropriate forms, write reports, and maintain records.
  • Ability to use or setup sampling procedures per ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 and Z1.9 as necessary in performance of duties.
  • Assist as necessary with first article inspections of parts, assemblies, equipment and tooling, as well as in-process and final inspections to defined drawings, specifications, procedures, work instructions, or industry standards.
  • Interact regularly with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Production staff members as required.
  • Records factors of inspected articles
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Handle a flexible work load
  • Follow all ISO procedures within the Receiving department
  • Trained in, use, and enforce use of proper ESD handling
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures
  • Use training knowledge to think independently
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of inspection methods and equipment including microscopes, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, surface blocks, indicators, testers, etc.
  • Experience inspecting printed circuit boards, assemblies, mechanical housings, and electrical components.
  • Three years of increasingly difficult inspection experience involving the application and working knowledge of sophisticated measuring equipment techniques, or equivalent related experience.
  • Familiarity with ESD requirements and handling electronic components.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Experience in accessing, recording, and maintaining information in company databases, websites, and shared LAN folders.
  • Experience in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, Outlook, etc.)
  • Professional manner at all times.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610D; J-Std-001D; ISO 9001-2000
  • Handle a flexible work load
  • Insure proper quality of work
  • Must be courteous and respectful of all non-departmental and departmental employees
  • Must have a positive attitude and accept change quickly
  • Other duties maybe assigned.

SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED
Is supervised by the Quality Supervisor and receives direction from Site Leaders. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma and/or GED, 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment, receiving experience helpful. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Use training knowledge to think independently
  • Must be able to handle very small objects
  • Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds and be physically capable of moving hardware on both low and high level shelves.

  • Fallow all ISO procedures within the Receiving department
  • Handle a flexible work load
  • Follow all ESD policies and procedures
  • Other duties as directed by management/supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two plus years experience in quality or receiving.
  • Associates Degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places, is exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; and works in outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
