What is an inside solution provider?

Inside Solution Providers are professionals who work within an organization, typically in sales, customer service, or technical support roles, to deliver tailored solutions to clients or customers. They analyze customer needs, recommend appropriate products or services, and coordinate with other teams to ensure successful implementation. Unlike field-based solution providers, they usually work from the company’s office or remotely, interacting with clients via phone, email, or online meetings. Their goal is to build strong client relationships and help solve business challenges through customized solutions.

How does an inside solution provider typically collaborate with sales and technical teams to deliver client solutions?

Inside Solution Providers often act as a central point of coordination between sales representatives, technical support, and clients. They work closely with sales teams to understand client requirements, recommend suitable products or services, and develop tailored solutions. Additionally, they liaise with technical teams to ensure feasibility, address technical questions, and facilitate smooth implementation. Effective communication and the ability to translate customer needs into actionable solutions are key to success in this collaborative environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an inside solution provider, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Inside Solution Provider, you need strong knowledge of sales processes, product expertise, and customer relationship management, often supported by a bachelor's degree and relevant sales or technology certifications. Familiarity with CRM software, sales automation tools, and industry-specific platforms is typically required. Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills set top performers apart in this role. These skills enable effective identification of client needs and delivery of tailored solutions, driving customer satisfaction and business growth.

Job description

Manager, Inside Sales & Revenue Operations

DGR Systems Tampa, Florida, United States

About this position

Help Us Change the Way People Use Technology

At DGR Systems, we’re about connecting companies to the right solutions and enabling them to gain the most value from their investments. We go to great lengths to hire great people because, at our core, our clients deserve to have each person working on their project bring qualified expertise, a can-do attitude, and experience-based strategic insights to the table. They need to trust their IT consulting firm as a partner who is there to help accelerate their success and not pass them off to a junior team after the contract has been signed. Want to join us?

THE ROLE

DGR Systems designs, builds, and delivers technology for organizations that depend on it working. We are an IT solutions provider and systems integrator headquartered in Tampa, and we are growing.

This role owns the span between a client deciding to buy and DGR invoicing them. Four functions sit inside that span-Inside Sales, Order Management, Partner Operations, and Sales Operations-and you will lead all four.

That is a deliberate design. In most companies these functions report separately, and the handoffs between them belong to nobody in particular. Here they are one workflow.

WHY CHANNEL OPERATIONS IS ITS OWN DISCIPLINE

If you are coming from a direct-sales business, some of this will be new, and we would rather set the expectation now.

Deal registration has windows. Special pricing expires. Rebate and incentive claims carry submission deadlines, and program tiers have thresholds you either clear or you do not. A quote is not finished until configuration, pricing, and availability all agree; and a vendor’s answer on any of the three can change between Tuesday and Thursday.

Handled well, this is one of the things that separates a well-run partner from an average one. We treat it as a discipline rather than as administration, and we are looking for someone who does the same.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Inside Sales

  • Leadership of our Inside Sales Representative team
  • Quote creation, configuration, and accuracy
  • Deal registration at the point of quote, before the opportunity is exposed
  • Coaching, development, and performance against a published standard

Order Management

  • Sales orders created and verified against what was quoted
  • Purchase order placement to distribution and OEMs
  • Order status, expediting, backorders, partial shipments, and substitution decisions
  • Special and bid pricing application, and tracking of expiry
  • Returns and RMA coordination, and the handoff into billing

Partner Operations

  • Deal registration maintenance and renewal
  • OEM and distributor program administration and compliance
  • Certifications, competencies, and specialization tracking
  • Rebate, incentive, and MDF claim preparation and submission
  • Program tier monitoring, with early warning where a threshold is in reach or at risk

Sales Operations

  • CRM administration, configuration, and data quality
  • Quoting and configuration tooling
  • Pipeline hygiene, sales reporting, dashboards, and forecast mechanics
  • Systems and process onboarding for new sales hires
WHAT WE´RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll Need

  • Experience running order management or sales operations in a business that resells products through distribution; where purchase orders, lead times, substitutions, and vendor programs are part of the week
  • Experience managing a team-coaching against a standard, and performance conversations
  • Detail discipline that holds up under volume, and comfort working to external deadlines that will not move
  • Systems fluency across CRM, quoting or configuration tooling, and vendor portals-enough to administer, not only to use
  • The willingness to hold a salesperson to a standard while working alongside them every day

It Will Help If You Have

  • Come from a VAR, MSP, distributor, or another channel business
  • Administered OEM programs
  • Submitted rebate, incentive, or MDF claims and know what it costs to miss one
  • Administered a CRM rather than only worked inside one
  • Built reporting that people actually used

We’ll Teach You

  • Our specific partner programs and how their mechanics work
  • Our systems, tooling, and configuration
  • The IT product and services landscape, if you are coming from another industry
WHO THIS ISN'T FOR

We would rather be direct than waste your time.

If you see this job simply processing what sales sends you, we are asking for something different. This role verifies before it places. If you have never held an order that a salesperson wanted placed, the harder half of this job will be new. If partner claims and registrations feel like paperwork rather than money, you will not enjoy the part of this role that matters most. If your approach to deadlines is to catch up rather than stay ahead, the windows in this business will not wait for you.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary range - $94,500 - $112,500

Work arrangement - Hybrid – Office Anchored

DGR Systems also offers a robust company benefits package designed to support employees and their families, including competitive health and welfare benefits, paid time off, retirement savings support, and other company-sponsored programs.

The pay range for this role is: 94,500 - 112,500 USD per year (DGR Systems)

DGR Systems is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.
