POSITION SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Associate operates in a performance-driven environment where success is measured by results, effort, and consistency. This role is focused on outbound business development and new customer acquisition, requiring a proactive, self-motivated individual who excels in cold calling, prospecting, and building a sales pipeline from the ground up.

This position is well suited for an individual who is eager to develop foundational sales skills, demonstrate strong work ethic, and advance into higher-level sales roles based on performance and contribution over time.

COMPENSATION

This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide outstanding customer service with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Support the Sales Team and your assigned Territory Manager with customer communication, quoting, scheduling, and follow-up
  • Learn the sales process through job shadowing, coaching, and ongoing training
  • Assist with lead qualification and prospecting within assigned territories
  • Gather information on potential customers and help build a strong sales pipeline
  • Help prepare for and follow up after trade shows and customer visits (some travel required)
  • Enter and maintain meticulous customer information and notes in CRM systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Logistics, Credit, etc.) to ensure smooth rental and return experiences
  • Help onboard new customers and guide them through the rental process
  • Be open to coaching, feedback, and continuous learning to support sales growth

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

  • 0-2 years of customer service, inside sales, or account support experience — or a degree and strong desire to learn sales
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, friendly, and professional
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems, email, Excel, and LinkedIn
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to grow in a dynamic environment
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn from mentors and teammates
  • Able to work full-time onsite at our Fort Wayne, IN office
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training, trade shows, and team events (quarterly or as needed)
