Overview

Yonkers, New York — Sarah Lawrence College (SLC) invites applications and nominations for the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO). Reporting to the Provost and Dean of Faculty, the CIO serves as the College’s most senior Information Technology (IT) leader and is responsible for creating, managing, and directing the IT vision, strategy, and roadmap to help fulfill the mission and vision of Sarah Lawrence. The CIO leads the College’s IT strategy, operations, and functions, including building and managing the infrastructure, technologies, cybersecurity services, and data that enable digital transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the comprehensive design, development, installation, and operation of academic and administrative information technology, working across all College functions, and oversee data privacy and compliance while driving innovative solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and administration.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the College’s technology infrastructure; lead cybersecurity efforts; direct enterprise application development; manage and mentor the ITS team; and oversee IT budget management.
Qualifications
  • Typically 8 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and leadership, with extensive knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and professional certifications welcomed.
  • Experience from within higher education is preferred, but candidates from diverse backgrounds with progressively responsible IT leadership roles within a complex organization with multiple locations, stakeholders, and technology solutions in use will be considered.
