This is TEMPORARY ON-SITE position located in Lanai City, Lanai, Hawaii

COMPENSATION

$18.36 / hour, Non-Exempt

ABOUT THE ROLE

Sensei Ag is hiring Farm Associates to be in charge of everything needed to keep crops healthy, productive, and in great shape. They're also responsible for packing fruits, vegetables, and doing other jobs that help the farm run smoothly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Your main goal is to ensure the health and condition of crops are maintained. This involves tasks like planting and transplanting seedlings, helping vine crops grow, and removing shoots.
  • You'll also help with harvesting, weighing, and packing produce, making sure it's graded and packaged correctly.
  • It's important to keep an eye out for any signs of insect or disease damage, as well as food safety issues.
  • Your workspace should always be clean and organized.
  • Operate farm equipment safely. 
  • Regular communication with your Team Lead to report any quality issues or damage.
  • Ensure all actions comply with SOPs, occupational safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and company policies and procedures to meet expectations consistently.
  • Additional duties as needed or required by management.

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO APPLY?

  • Experience working in a light industrial environment.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable with heights and using ladders.
  • Able to work in greenhouses with varying environmental conditions, such as heat, UV exposure or a cold packing room.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able stand for long periods, including walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Comply with follow food safety practices.
  • Have reliable transportation to get to work.

  • Farming or greenhouse experience. 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
