Job PurposeThe Senior Operator B (Inline Operator) plays a critical role in producing high-quality products by safely and efficiently operating inline extrusion and thermoforming equipment. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems, and keeping production running smoothly.
The role is performed in a warm manufacturing environment and requires regular standing, reaching, bending, moving, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate thermoforming and extrusion inline equipment, packaging machinery, and material-handling equipment.
- Monitor machines for alarms, warning indicators, unusual sounds, or performance changes.
- Communicate equipment concerns to leads and assist with diagnosing and correcting operational issues.
- Support mold changes and equipment setup as required.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components.
- Maintain a strong focus on product quality, production efficiency, and workplace safety.
- Follow and model all company safety policies and procedures.
- Help keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
- Lead by example and perform all duties in accordance with The HC Companiesโ values.
- Support all company policies, procedures, and production standards.
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40โ50 pounds.

Qualifications and Experience- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and basic mechanical operations.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools to accurately monitor sheet dimensions and product specifications.
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions, blueprints, and production documents.
- Basic math and reading-comprehension skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially when addressing mechanical or production challenges.
- Ability to accurately complete required production paperwork and documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
