Job description

The good-faith pay range for this role is $58,200 - $83,500 per year. Actual compensation may vary and may be above the posted range based on factors such as a candidate's skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location.
What your job will be like:
Provide maintenance and repair support on all RF electronics hardware used in the JLAB CEBAF Accelerator, Injector Test Facility (UITF), Cryomodule Test Facility (CMTF) and Low Energy Recirculating Facility (LERF) in support of sustaining and increasing machine availability. Assist Accelerator Engineering Support (AES) Department RF engineers in the design, fabrication, implementation and documentation of complex electronic equipment to support improving and upgrading the Accelerator, LERF and other RF systems.
In this role you will:
  • Provide repair support - on-call, preventive and scheduled maintenance - for the Accelerator and LERF RF systems and other AESRF customers.
  • Accomplish special projects assigned by the RF Operations Support Team Coordinator to support the team's roles and responsibilities.
  • Work with the lead technician in the shop assigned to learn troubleshooting, repair and calibration of these assemblies. Maintain spare and repair parts inventories.
  • Provide support to engineers in new system development, testing and documentation. Design and fabricate special purpose circuits and test apparatus for laboratory use.

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 5 or more years required
