Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures and/ or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Certified to operate fluoro/pan with Fluoro CA license addendum.  Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.  Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.  Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.  Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Prepares power injector and contrast medium.  Injects contrast during procedures and monitors injector rates/ quantity of contrast administered during all procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • ARRT-R and licenses as required by State.
  • Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology; preferred.
  • Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred. 
  • BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficient computer skills.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $43.00 to $66.99. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
