ECHO Incorporated is looking for a 3rd Shift Machine Operator in our Molding Department! The Machine Operator is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of injection molding production. This position performs part inspection, trimming, counting, packaging, and production documentation while ensuring established quality and safety standards are followed.
M-F 10:45pm-7:30am! Starting at $16/HR + $2.50 shift differential = $18.50/HR!

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks associated with injection molding operations, including trimming flash material and runners, inspecting parts, counting parts, and packaging finished products.
  • Inspect molded parts for defects and verify products meet established quality standards.
  • Immediately report defective, questionable, or nonconforming parts to the Group Leader or Supervisor.
  • Trim plastic parts according to established specifications by safely removing excess flashing and runners.
  • Accurately count and package parts in the required quantities according to work instructions.
  • Follow established procedures to minimize scrap and maintain production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including parts produced, scrap, downtime, and hourly production counts for semi-automatic jobs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Safely operate trimming devices, small hand tools, and other equipment required for assigned production tasks.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Work on various production lines or assignments as operational needs require.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as needed to support departmental and company operations.

Qualifications:
  • Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, or injection molding experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and procedures and understand verbal instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
  • Ability to accurately inspect, count, and package finished products.
  • Ability to safely use trimming devices and small hand tools.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to accurately complete basic production documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Flexible and willing to work on different production lines based on operational needs.
  • Previous injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for the entire scheduled shift.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with trimming, inspecting, counting, and packaging parts.
  • Ability to safely operate small hand tools and trimming devices.
  • Ability to bend, reach, grasp, and perform other physical movements required in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work around production machinery and equipment while following all required PPE and company safety procedures.

  • Must be flexible and willing to work on different production lines based on operational needs.
