Overview

Position Summary

The IPEX Specialist links production units and technical services, ensuring the processing of information and providing technical and industrial solutions. Responsibilities include process definition and implementation, productivity coordination, and leading best practice deployment.

Responsibilities
  • Product Interface:
    • Interface with Product Engineer (R&D) to monitor product design during serial life.
  • Injection Process Definition:
    • Define manufacturing process documents.
    • Perform PFMEA.
    • Participate in definitions of new tools & equipment and implementation with IPM/IPE during program phases.
    • Define investment and manpower needs.
    • Release and update plant/cell layout within perimeter.
    • Define cycle time in line with takt time and standard operations.
  • Injection Process Implementation:
    • Contribute to installation and deployment of production means.
    • Support machine reception before plant transfer.
    • Organize and maintain overall KPI.
    • Analyze malfunctions and participate in implementation of FES processes (QRCI, SW, SMED, Equipment Care, Control Plan).
    • Have working knowledge of processes/materials including injection molding thermoplastics, 2k injection, gas assist injection, microjet, and back-injection.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Conduct manufacturing productivity analysis and improvements.
    • Perform and track actions for continuous improvement.
    • Advise and provide technical assistance to UAP managers to solve problems.
    • Perform process improvements through IPEX Roadmap guidance.
    • Capitalize feedback and provide best practices with IPEX network.
  • IPEX Network:
    • Interface with IPEX network (country, region, or BG) for problem solving and best practice exchanges.
    • Participate in regional IPEX workshops and meetings.
    • Coach and train Process Technicians and Plant Process Engineers.
    • Lead LLS sharing within perimeter at region or BG levels.
    • Promote and organize cross-regional actions.
    • Organize and foster relationships between plants.
    • Identify potentials and support development of individuals.
    • Contribute to creation of new standards and guidelines with Global IPEX and GTS.
  • Health / Safety / Environment:
    • Meet HSE guidelines and instructions.
    • Support leadership and commitment from top management per Group environmental and quality policy.
    • Commit to highest ethical standards and adhere to Forviaโ€™s Code of Ethics and Management.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering.
