We are currently seeking a Hardware Design Mechanical Engineer to join our talented engineering team and contribute to the development of innovative technologies that drive our industry forward.
At Trimm, Inc. our core values - Exploration, Purpose, Integrity, and Connection – guide everything we do as we pursue our mission: “Driven to design and manufacture powerful solutions”.  In this role, you will use engineering principles to design new products, make improvements to existing products, and ensure design compliance with appropriate certifying bodies.     
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Research and offer solutions to resolve problems in design of new and existing product lines.
· Review drawings, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation as requested.
· Prepare 3D models, dimensional drawings, and installation drawings.
· Investigate and troubleshoot design problems.
· Review engineering design changes and recommend modifications to minimize cost and ease of manufacturing.
· Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with engineering.
· Follow and refine established filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.
· Update part lists and bills of materials for design projects.
· Other duties as required relating to engineering change requests (ECR) and process improvement.
· Design and produce automated testing fixtures utilizing parametric modeling software, machine tools, and/or 3D printing.
· Under general direction plans and performs engineering duties for projects of moderate complexity to improve production processes
  and methods.
· Conceive, design, and implement mechanical designs on new and existing products.
· Make improvements to the mechanical design of new and existing components and assemblie
Minimum Qualifications
· BS in Engineering with preference in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering and 2+ years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor Professional and/or Autodesk Autocad preferred.
· Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication design, injection molding design, and/or wiring harness design preferred.
· Familiarity with product thermal testing and thermocouples preferred.
This is a full-time onsite position, Monday - Friday.
