Job description

Process Technicians at Monoflo are responsible for our injection molding machines, automation cells, robots, and auxiliary equipment. Our Process Technicians complete start up and shut down procedures, monitor machines' performance and parameters, and validate that only the highest quality parts are produced.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform proper start up, restart, shut down, and continuous monitoring of injection molding machines: 180T to 3200T Krauss-Maffei, Engel, JSW
  • Optimize process run specifications, documenting adjustments
  • Operate automation cells and secondary operation equipment: vibration welder, hot plate welder, Fanuc robots, assembly equipment
  • Create robot programs used to pick parts from molding machine: Wittmann, Krauss-Maffei
  • Audit process parameters and auxiliary equipment, identifying inconsistencies and defects with resolution
  • Conduct quality audits to validate high-quality finished goods are produced
  • Complete the First Article Verification sign off during new work order start up
  • Complete all required process documentation and system audits
  • Perform material and color changes

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years' experience as a Process Technician in the injection molding industry
  • Experience with robot programs and part picking
  • Experience injection mold functions: hot runners, cores, pneumatic gates
  • Experience navigating injection molding machine controls and parameters
  • Experience with automation systems and secondary operations is preferred
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in the schedule
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills with the focus on root cause analysis
