Job description

Position Summary

Our Client is seeking a skilled Injection Mold Maker to build, repair, maintain, and modify precision injection molds used in the production of high-quality plastic components. This role requires hands-on mold shop experience, strong machining and fitting skills, and a solid understanding of mold construction and machining processes.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically proficient, and capable of troubleshooting complex tooling issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build, repair, modify, and maintain plastic injection molds and dies

  • Perform precision die building, fitting, and final assembly

  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications

  • Machine mold and die components using CNC mills, lathes, surface grinders, EDM, and manual equipment

  • Perform spotting, polishing, precision fitting, and finishing operations

  • Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and performance issues

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mold-related issues to support consistent, high-quality production

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement tooling improvements and engineering changes

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment


Qualifications
  • 2-5+ years of hands-on experience in a mold shop environment
