All shifts
1st 7:45am - 4pm
2nd 3:45pm - Midnight
3rd Midnight - 8am

JOB SUMMARY:

The Injection Molding Process Technician will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the molding process. These aspects will includes maintenance, setting molds, entering process parameters, troubleshooting issues, and supporting production.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Set up and operate Injection Molding Machines to mold thermoplastic parts.

· Perform Installing and Pulling Molds for start-ups/end of runs.

· Observe operation of injection molding machines to ensure that parts meet specifications and to detect any machine malfunctions or product defects. Troubleshoot and understand the machine functions/setting issues.

· Maintain best operating parameters for the mold and make any adjustments required to produce a quality part.

· Ensure all auxiliary equipment is set to the correct settings per requirements.

· Assure all processes for Injection Molding are implemented and documentation maintained.

· Compare actual performance with planned, take corrective action as needed.

· Acquire, analyze, interpret information in a logical manner and implement change as required.

· Organize activities needed to reach goals.

· Ability to select future courses of action and decide how to achieve the desired results.

· Ensure a safe workplace and compliance with MIOSHA and Company safety standards.

· Keep the workplace clean, orderly, and sanitary.

· Ensure all products are produced within specifications and meet customer requirements with any problems corrected in a timely manner.

· Perform other duties as requested.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of quality control techniques and procedures.
  • 1 to 2 years of Plastic Processing experience, or
  • 1 to 2 years of Injection Molding Maintenance, or
  • 1 to 2 years of Injection Mold Die Setting highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of plastic materials and process parameters for injection molding.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily leadership to machine operators.
  • Ensure team members follow established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Communicate any delays, equipment issues, or material shortages.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, unassisted.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine.
