Job Title: Spanish Language and Culture Teacher Supervisor: Academic Director Job Summary: Provide classroom instruction in Spanish Language and Culture.


Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish language and culture to K-8 students.
  • Incorporate Spanish culture into class activities.
  • Infuse the Minnesota primary and intermediate graduation standards for foreign language into the ongoing curriculum.
  • Develop cultural curriculum materials and instrcutional strategies for elementary students.
  • Incorporate hands-on learning activities into daily instruction.
  • Communicate often with parents regarding the program goals, classroom activities, and student progress.
  • Provide a safe classroom environment for students.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, administrator, and other staff to ensure the success of students.


Preferred:

  • Native proficiency in reading and writing in the Spanish and English Languages.
  • Successful elementary or middle school teaching experience.
  • Ability to implement creative and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Flexibility relating to student and program needs.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
