CONTRACT POSITION- Duration of this position roughly 1 to 2 years possibly longer depending on when this project is complete.


Location: Meridian, MS
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Remote & Onsite


Position Overview

Strategic Direct Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support a data center infrastructure project in Meridian, MS


This is a hybrid remote/onsite position, offering the ability to work remotely while also requiring onsite presence based on project needs. The Project Coordinator will support the day-to-day coordination, documentation, scheduling, material tracking, and administrative needs of the project while working closely with project management, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in project coordination, project management, or construction management and be comfortable balancing remote administrative responsibilities with onsite coordination in an active construction/data center environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
  • Track project milestones, deadlines, action items, and outstanding issues
  • Maintain project documentation including JHAs, inspection reports, commissioning documents, schedules, meeting minutes, action logs, and status reports
  • Upload documentation and update project commissioning software
  • Assist Project Managers with scope, schedule, and budget tracking
  • Coordinate communication between internal project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients
  • Travel locally as needed to inspect equipment and material deliveries at warehouses and project locations
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and project specifications
  • Identify and document damaged, missing, or incorrect materials
  • Maintain delivery and material tracking logs
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel to resolve delivery issues
  • Prepare and distribute project status updates
  • Maintain organized project documentation within SharePoint and other company systems
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating project meetings
  • Follow up with vendors and subcontractors regarding project needs and outstanding items


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, construction management, or a related role
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel
  • Ability to work effectively both remotely and onsite
  • Comfortable working within an active construction/data center environment when onsite
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical inspections of materials
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.


Preferred Experience

  • Data center construction or critical infrastructure projects
  • Mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) construction
  • Material, warehouse, logistics, or supply-chain coordination
  • Experience working with construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, CX Alloy, Procore, or BIM 360
  • CAPM, PMP, or similar project management certification


Work Arrangement

This position offers a hybrid schedule consisting of both remote work and onsite responsibilities in Meridian, MS

Remote work will primarily consist of project coordination, documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication. Onsite work will be required as project needs dictate and may include project meetings, site coordination, delivery inspections, material verification, and visits to local warehouses or project locations.


Candidates should therefore be local to or within reasonable commuting distance of Meridian, MS and have reliable transportation.
