Roadway Maintenance WorkerDays: Monday - Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary range: $17/hr.
Additional compensation in the form of Health amp; Welfare, Paid Holidays, Employee Stock, Ownership Plan (ESOP), PTO and 401k plan
Valid Driver's License Required
General:
Creative Management Technology seeks Maintenance Workers to support field activities and equipment for routine maintenance services on non-interstate roadways for the Florida Department of Transportation in Deland, FL, Volusia County.
The projects include all labor, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary to perform routine maintenance and repair activities associated with roadway infrastructure, drainage infrastructure, roadside vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and emergency response.
Responsibilities:
  • Work includes asphalt repair, repair of non-paved shoulders, roadside slopes, ditches, sodding, drainage structures, concrete sidewalks, landscaping, guardrails, fences, and other miscellaneous structures.
  • Ensure proper safety protocols are followed, including work zone traffic control.
Other Qualifications:
  • Work is performed outside and includes exposure to extreme cold, heat, inclement weather amp; noise
  • Must be able to physically move through the worksite
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, climb, and reach
  • Able to lift, carry, and place heavy objects
  • Valid driver's license with a Clean Driving Record
  • Proficiency in driving commercial vehicles
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must comply with background check
  • Willing to submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment, such as gloves, a hard hat, and safety glasses, per OSHA regulations
  • Preferred minimum of one (1) year of infrastructure maintenance experience and roadway equipment operations
