Position Overview:

This position is for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to grow and hone your skills with other talented members at ARKA. Our ideal candidate is a DevSecOps Engineer who is a hard charging self-starter that can come onto a team and begin to produce quickly. You should have an advanced understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, automated test, and deployment pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field or 4 years of directly related work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of Infrastructure/DevOps experience
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engagement with virtual or remote teams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes and deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience with using Helm charts to deploy software to Kubernetes clusters (ie. Argo CD)
  • Strong experience with at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Github Actions, etc)
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, GitHub workflows)
  • IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CASP+)
  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with fully adjudicated CI Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development methodology
  • Familiarity with government risk management framework (RMF) processes
  • Experience with container tools (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Basic understanding of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana or similar
