Job description

Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking an AWS Sysops Engineer to work in Des Moines, IA. The role involves managing AWS infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance, and facilitating communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• AWS Networking (VPC, Routing, SecurityGroups/NACLs, VPN/DirectConnect)
• AWS Security (Security Groups, IAM, CertManager, S3 Bucket Policies)
• AWS Cloud Management (R53, CloudFront, CertManager)
• AWS Monitoring, Auditing and Logging (CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SumoLogic, DataDog)
• Experience with VPC and hybrid cloud environments.
• Ability to implement infra as code for all of the above services. Lots of CloudFormation.
• Base knowledge on common microservices services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3)
• Cloud pricing management
• Communication and customer facing skills are key!
