The IT Technician plays a vital role within a small IT team, managing and maintaining a fleet of devices across multiple locations in the Gainesville area. This position focuses primarily on hardware support, ensuring devices are operational through preventative maintenance, repairs, and timely help desk resolutions. Frequent travel between sites is required to support installations, upgrades, and workstation relocations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage device fleet across multiple Gainesville locations
- Perform preventative maintenance and break fix repairs on hardware
- Handle help desk tickets and resolve issues promptly
- Manage spare parts inventory and control
- Coordinate warranty replacements and liaise with manufacturers
- Build, deploy, and install new devices and hardware
- Upgrade and replace PCs and handheld devices
- Relocate workstations as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in IT support and device maintenance
- Familiarity with inventory management and hardware installation
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Customer service experience
