Job description

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Project Coordinator for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a nonprofit organization in Chicago, Illinois. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional with Dayforce experience, strong HRIS knowledge, and a service-focused mindset. The HRIS Project Coordinator will support an active Dayforce implementation by assisting with reporting, documentation, project coordination, and cross-functional communication to help keep the project on track for a successful go-live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing Dayforce implementation, by assisting with system documentation, process tracking, and project coordination.
  • Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and document updates, action items, and system-related workflows.
  • Build, update, and organize reports within Dayforce to support implementation and operational needs.
  • Assign and track project tasks within the organization’s project management system, ClickUp.
  • Partner with HR and internal teams on data validation, workflow tracking, and implementation support leading up to go-live.
  • Provide onsite collaboration with the team at least 1-2 days per week.
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of the HRIS and implementation team.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Dayforce, ideally from a management, project, or administrative perspective rather than only end-user navigation.
  • Strong HRIS knowledge and comfort working with systems, reporting, and implementation support.
  • Ability to manage documentation, meetings, reporting, and project coordination tasks independently.
  • Experience using project management tools such as ClickUp or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Service-oriented mindset; experience supporting a nonprofit environment is a plus.

Benefits available to contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/temporary professionals are also eligible to enroll in our company 401(k)plan. Visit roberthalf.gobenefits.net for more information.
