Information Security Project Manager (PMP)

Immediate Contract | Hybrid | Fort Lauderdale, FL

Are you an experienced Information Security Project Manager who thrives on leading high-impact cybersecurity initiatives that protect critical business operations and sensitive data?

We are seeking a seasoned PMP-certified Information Security Project Manager to join a IT PMO supporting a complex enterprise environment. This is an outstanding contract opportunity for a collaborative leader who enjoys working across technology, security, compliance, and executive stakeholders to deliver strategic security initiatives.

About the Opportunity

Our client is investing heavily in strengthening its cybersecurity posture, safeguarding sensitive information, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance requirements. You will play a key role in driving multiple enterprise security initiatives from planning through execution while partnering with Information Security, Infrastructure, Application teams, vendors, and business leaders.

This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful cybersecurity programs with long-term visibility and executive sponsorship.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise Information Security projects
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, executive stakeholders, vendors, and third-party partners
  • Ensure projects align with security governance, compliance requirements, and organizational objectives
  • Support security solution implementations and enterprise security initiatives
  • Prepare executive status reports, dashboards, and steering committee updates
  • Assist with audit preparation, documentation, evidence collection, and compliance activities
  • Track budgets, Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders, and vendor deliverables
  • Drive project governance through established PMO methodologies and best practices

What We're Looking For

  • PMP Certification required
  • 8+ years of IT Project Management experience
  • 5+ years managing Information Security or Cybersecurity projects
  • Proven experience delivering complex enterprise technology initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of security governance and regulatory frameworks, including:
  • NIST
  • ISO 27001
  • HIPAA
  • PCI-DSS
  • Experience supporting security audits and compliance initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and consulting partners
  • Strong documentation, organization, and risk management capabilities
