Help Lead a Modern Security Transformation

An established South Florida organization is undertaking a significant modernization of its technology landscape and is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead and advance its enterprise cybersecurity program.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly visible technology leadership team responsible for securing a rapidly evolving environment that supports critical business operations, sensitive data, cloud technologies, digital transformation initiatives, and enterprise modernization efforts.

The Information Security Manager will serve as the senior security leader for the organization, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive information security strategy, strengthening governance and compliance programs, managing cybersecurity risks, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems and information assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously enhance the organization's enterprise-wide information security and risk management program.
  • Develop and execute security strategies, policies, standards, and procedures aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary security advisor to executive leadership and technology stakeholders.
  • Oversee security governance, risk management, compliance, security operations, and security architecture initiatives.
  • Conduct enterprise risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for emerging cyber threats.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry frameworks including HIPAA, CJIS, PCI-DSS, NIST, and related standards.
  • Lead incident response planning, cybersecurity investigations, vulnerability management, and security awareness initiatives.
  • Partner with infrastructure, application development, cloud, and business teams to embed security throughout the technology lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and implement security technologies, tools, and controls that support a modernized IT environment.
  • Manage third-party security assessments, audits, and vendor risk programs.
  • Develop executive-level reporting and metrics related to cybersecurity posture, risk exposure, and compliance activities.
  • Mentor and lead cybersecurity and technology professionals while fostering a culture of security awareness across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible information security experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading cybersecurity, information security, or IT teams.
  • Active CISSP or CISM certification.
  • Strong knowledge of security governance, risk management, compliance, security operations, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience implementing and managing security frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and CJIS.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical security concepts for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.

Preferred

  • Experience serving in a senior cybersecurity leadership role, including Director, Senior Information Security Manager, Deputy CISO, or CISO-level responsibilities.
  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, or CISSP-ISSMP.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated environments.
  • Experience leading security initiatives within large, complex, multi-site organizations.
  • Public sector, healthcare, or similarly regulated industry experience.
