Risk Analyst

About your role:

As a Risk Analyst at Fiserv, you play a vital role in mitigating financial risk by implementing customized card fraud strategies for our clients. Working in close collaboration with financial institutions or your team, you will contribute to strengthening our clients' financial security by crafting effective risk management strategies.

What you'll do:

  • Directly utilize Risk Office tools, Fiserv applications, and research techniques to execute tailored fraud strategies for clients.

  • Take ownership of the implementation of fraud strategies for clients' card portfolios, ensuring maximum effectiveness.

  • Engage with mentors to enhance tool proficiency, client management skills, and acclimatization to the Fiserv ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with internal Fiserv teams regularly to fulfill client commitments effectively.

  • Recommend optimal risk mitigation techniques while demonstrating basic data analysis capabilities.

  • Provide empathetic and prompt responses to customer inquiries, consistently delivering on promises.

  • Define and implement successful fraud detection strategies, developing a solid understanding of Fiserv tools.

  • Adhere to established protocols to grasp fundamental concepts related to being a Risk Analyst.

  • Proactively create a personalized knowledge development plan, identifying key focus areas and seeking learning opportunities to enhance both tool and interpersonal skills.

  • Maintain focus on optimizing tool and process utilization.

  • Demonstrate a highly collaborative approach, excel as a team player, challenge oneself, and willingly take on new responsibilities.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

  • Background in card processing or fraud detection industry.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Advanced data analysis skills.

  • Previous experience in risk analysis or financial services.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range

$49,500.00 - $79,200.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
