Job description

Overview

As a member of our Sales Strategy and Operations team, you will have an integral role in driving the insights, operations, and strategy that enables Sales to run better, faster, and smarter. Sales Strategy and Operations is an excellent platform to learn how a business really runs.

You will be joining the Sales Strategy and Operations team as a high-impact contributor, gaining exposure to a wide variety of challenges, processes, and data that makes the engine of this Sales organization hum. As an Associate on the team, you will lead cross-functional initiatives from ideation to analytics to recommendations to drive impact across the sales organization.

Why the data team?

Data is the foundation of our go-to-market strategy. It supports all parts of our sales motion, including:

  • Populating and maintaining an accurate universe of buyers
  • Segmenting our sales team and defining sales representative patches
  • Identifying and facilitating key growth opportunities, e.g., entering markets in previously untapped geographies
  • Creating customer profiles to identify and target high value buyers

We recognize the importance of data to our scalability and success, and we aim to make it a core competency of our business.

What You'll Do
  • Design a global data structure: design and manage data core to the success of our 500+ member sales team. Define a multi-source data structure that solves for both business priorities (update cadence, quality thresholds) and technical constraints.
  • Source and evaluate vendors: conduct market analyses to compare vendor capabilities to satisfy key business requirements; work with marketers and sales teams to evaluate vendor quality and present recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Improve data quality and value: identify opportunities to use data to grow revenue. Find new methods for lead generation. Increase sales prospecting efficiency by improving the accuracy of our data.

... and more!

Requirements
  • Technical skills and previous exposure to SQL and/or Python/Pandas is required. Brownie points for advanced proficiency.
  • You're a high-impact self-starter: You take initiative to move projects forward and operate with high autonomy. You can take multiple different sources and products and "plumb" them together to make new tools quickly.
  • You bridge the gap between the technical and the non-technical. You can translate a sales rep's "wish list" into technical requirements for engineers and then explain the results back to a business audience.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in data analytics, product management, or high-impact consulting.
  • Academic Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics) is a plus.
