Job description

Job Description:

The IT Intern plays an important role in supporting system-wide Help Desk and Desktop Technical services for Powers Health. Assists with responding to and resolving IT incidents and service requests, helping ensure a smooth and efficient experience for end users. Prioritizes and troubleshoots desktop-related issues in alignment with the organization’s Help Desk Incident Management process.

Must be available to work year round and commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and assist in resolving IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner
  • Provide support for desktop-related technical issues across the organization
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact to operations
  • Follow established Help Desk procedures and documentation standards
  • Deliver excellent customer service while supporting end users

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or related field) with completion of at least one technical course desktop related.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Solid troubleshooting abilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and software applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated reliability with a solid work history
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
