Job description

We’re hiring a locum tenens diagnostic radiologist to join inpatient and outpatient teams in northeastern Minnesota, covering Duluth (Level I trauma center) and Virginia (Level IV trauma). This is an on-site, clinical-only role that begins June 1, 2026 and continues on an ongoing basis. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with eight-hour shifts.

What you’ll do

  • Interpret a high daily volume of studies (approximately 110 reads per day).
  • Read and perform CT (general, neuro, CT angiography), MRI (neuro, musculoskeletal, MRA), ultrasound (general, abdominal, thyroid, Doppler), nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, and plain films.
  • Provide interventional procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and vascular access.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to clarify diagnoses and inform treatment plans.
  • Document in Epic and follow onsite workflows and compliance standards.

Patient mix and complexity

  • Primarily adult and general population care.
  • Broad case mix spanning general radiology modalities and interventional/diagnostic procedures.

Facility and support

  • Full radiology imaging suite (CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy).
  • Robust hospital specialty backup and ancillary services.
  • Epic EMR in use.

Logistics and compensation

  • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.
  • This role is intended as supplemental coverage.

Requirements

  • Active Minnesota medical license.
  • Board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology.
  • Onsite presence required.
