Job description

Are your TikTok FYP recommendations suspiciously accurate? Do your friends rely on you to find the best restaurants, coordinate the trip itineraries, and find the latest trends? We're looking for someone who's equal parts trend-obsessed and detail-oriented to join our growing influencer marketing team.

WHO WE ARE
Open Influence is a global, award-winning creator marketing company, providing premium, end-to-end creator marketing solutions. Since 2013, we have been pioneering the creator economy, executing social-first strategies for over 1,500 top brands—including Universal, Spotify, Google, FOX, Target, and more! As a platform-agnostic and talent-agnostic partner, we connect brands with the right creators, on the right channels, to drive measurable impact and business growth.

We won't bury the lead: success in this role requires a creative "free-range" mindset, paired with immaculate project management skills and attention to the finer details. We combine our passion for culture with an infectious commitment to driving meaningful results for our clients. Sure, every agency will have a 'work hard, play harder' environment. Our approach is: work smarter, play better. With a 92% renewal rate, brands don't just work with us—they stay with us.

A job description won't do Open Influence's company culture justice, but we'll give you a snapshot in a few bullets.

  • We understand that culture starts at the top. Our management team has an ''open door' policy at all times, and actively creates safe, inclusive spaces to connect, share, and strategize.
  • We recognize and celebrate each other's wins, and pick each other up when we stumble (which, spoiler alert: we all do).
  • We aren't afraid to look in the mirror. We continually learn, grow, and improve what we do and how we do it.

THE ROLE

At Open Influence, our mission is to help brands create alongside extraordinary human beings. As an Associate Account Manager, your mission is to help facilitate the meaningful partnership between both these brands and creators.

As the direct partner to our brands, you'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of superior client service for a portfolio of Open Influence clients, with support from a more senior leader on our team. This role is ideal for someone with prior agency account management experience who has independently managed influencer marketing campaigns, built strong client relationships, and confidently navigated day-to-day client communications from kickoff through reporting.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the trusted, main point-of-contact for our clients; build strong brand relationships, proactively address client needs, and ensure an exceptional customer service experience throughout the campaign lifecycle. In this role, building strong, trusted relationships with our brand partners is at the heart of everything you do.
  • Responsible for supporting, managing and executing post-sale influencer campaigns including adherence to campaign timelines and deliverables with support and mentorship from a senior lead.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for influencers, while maintaining strategies to meet brand business objectives.
  • In tandem to leading your own projects, AAMs are responsible for supporting more complex projects managed by senior leads. Support frequently looks like taking lead on project management and creator onboarding/communications.
  • Manage high volume and fast paced email communications with influencers, from the initial sourcing and negotiations, guiding the creative development of content, and ensuring roll out aligns with the campaign goals and KPIs.
  • Address daily client needs and requests related to the campaign, or other ancillary asks, in a timely strategy-oriented manner
  • Identify trends and develop performance insights, resulting in meaningful recommendations and strategies

Requirements:

  • Required: 3+ years of client-facing account management experience within a marketing, advertising, influencer marketing, or social media agency environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on influencer marketing experience, with a deep understanding of the full campaign lifecycle—including talent sourcing, contract negotiations, content strategy, paid/organic amplification, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Experience in leading and executing, building and optimizing digital and social media plans, particularly focused on influencer marketing
  • A deep understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle a high volume of email communications on a daily basis
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Please note: This is a hybrid role with an onsite expectation of 2 days per week in the New York office.

The expected salary range for this role is $65,000–$80,000 USD, depending on experience.
