Influence information

What is an influence?

An Influence job typically involves shaping opinions, driving engagement, and impacting decisions through communication, content, or leadership. Professionals in this role may work in marketing, sales, public relations, or social media, using their expertise to persuade audiences and foster connections. They often leverage data, storytelling, and strategic relationships to amplify messages and achieve business or organizational goals.

What does a typical day look like for someone working as an influence?

A typical day for an Influencer often involves planning, creating, and editing content, engaging with followers through comments and messages, and collaborating with brands or partners on sponsored posts. Influencers also spend time analyzing engagement metrics, staying on top of current trends, and brainstorming new ideas to keep their audience interested. Depending on their niche, they may attend events, photo shoots, or meetings with clients and other creators. Team structures vary, as some Influencers work independently while others have support from managers, photographers, or content editors. This dynamic role requires balancing creativity, business strategy, and constant interaction with both collaborators and audiences.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the influence position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Influencer, you need strong content creation abilities, a solid understanding of social media platforms, and a proven track record of growing and engaging an online audience. Familiarity with digital analytics tools, camera equipment, editing software, and sometimes influencer marketing platforms is beneficial. Creativity, authenticity, adaptability to rapidly changing trends, and clear communication help Influencers stand out in the field. These skills are vital for developing compelling content, forging brand partnerships, and sustaining influence in a competitive digital environment.

Baltimore Ravens
Manager, Influencer Marketing & Legends Engagement

Dept: Marketing
Position Reports To: Director, Legacy Engagement
General Description:
The Manager of Influencer & Legends Engagement is a dynamic and personable professional responsible for bridging the gap between the club's storied past and its modern digital future. This role focuses on two primary pillars: driving brand strategy through influencer partnerships and maintaining meaningful, long-term relationships with Baltimore Ravens alumni (Legends). The ideal candidate will be a highly organized communicator capable of managing complex outreach cycles, database tracking, and cross-departmental event activations that elevate the Ravens' brand locally and nationally.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Influencer Strategy & Execution: Develop influencer marketing strategy and identify goals for the program. Lead the identifying, vetting, and outreach process for influencers, celebrities, and content creators to expand the Ravens' reach in alignment with the organization's goals. Work on growing the network while tying into campaigns across the organization.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for influencers in conjunction with social media and Legends via professional email correspondence, phone calls, and personalized mailings. Build relationships with those involved with the brand.
  • Legends Support: Assist former Ravens players, manage appearance requests, and provide concierge-level support for Legends during team events.
  • Event Activation: Collaborate with Marketing and other departments to integrate influencers and Legends into stadium events, reunions, and special activations. Serve as a point person for Legends and influencer requests, submissions and activations.
  • Data & Software Tracking: Utilize analytics tools to track influencer and Legend campaigns, maintain an accurate database of influencer and alumni contact information, and report on program success and recaps.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Content and Social Media Team to ensure influencer content aligns with brand standards, content development, communication and relationship management.
  • Gameday Activations: Oversee game day and special event logistics for Legends and influencers to include, but not limited to, managing invitations, coordinating travel, creating and distributing itineraries and providing on-site hospitality. Oversee the Marketing suite planning, setup and execution for Ravens home games.
  • Administrative Excellence: Maintain meticulous records of outreach efforts, contract fulfillment, and budget expenditures. Additionally, oversee shipping and mailing operations for Legend gifts, influencer packages, and program materials.

Required Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in influencer marketing, talent relations, or alumni relations, preferably within a professional sports or entertainment environment.
  • Proven track record of managing outreach campaigns and building professional relationships with high-profile individuals.

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
  • Exceptional Communication: Superior writing and verbal skills with the ability to interact professionally with athletes, celebrities, agents, and creators.
  • Organization and Detail: Highly motivated self-starter with a "no task is too small" mentality and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with influencer marketing platforms, CRM/database management tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interpersonal Prowess: A "people-person" who is personable, empathetic, and capable of building trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays in alignment with the NFL schedule and special events.
  • Confidentiality: Prudence to protect sensitive information obtained through conversations with high-profile individuals.

Application Process:
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
  • Upload and submit a resume AND cover letter.
  • Complete the required additional screening questions as part of the application.
  • Applicants who do not include all required information will be removed from consideration.
  • Those moving forward will receive an email from vidcruiter@hiringplatform.com to complete a video interview. Please follow the instructions in the email within 3 days of receiving it to complete your screening interview in order to continue to be considered for employment.
  • If you are selected for an interview, we will contact you. No follow-up phone calls or emails inquiring about the position will be accepted.

ALL OF THESE STEPS MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY APPLICATIONS MISSING ANY OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION WILL CONSIDERED INCOMPLETE AND WILL, THEREFORE, NOT BE REVIEWED.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Range: $75,000 - 85,000
  • Company-paid health insurance, including health and vision. Dental insurance also provided with minimal employee contribution
  • Competitive 401(K)
  • Paid time off to include 20 vacation days and 5 personal/sick days

Please note: Due to the volume of applications received by the Baltimore Ravens, we are unable to provide updates on the status of your application. You will be notified if you are selected to advance in the process.
