  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code backed by coding standards and peer reviews.

Integration, Testing & Optimization:

  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests; participate directly in integration and test events (highly valued).
  • Use GitLab, Jira, and related tools to manage source code, track defects, and validate changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across software components, services, and external interfaces.
  • Assist in optimizing application performance, scalability, and reliability in operational environments.

Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Diagnose and resolve software issues reported from test labs or operational environments.
  • Analyze logs, traces, and metrics to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Document issues and resolutions, and contribute to continuous improvement of test and support processes.

Project Management & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with systems, test, cybersecurity, and operations teams to refine requirements and design solutions.
  • Participate in agile development processes (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and provide accurate task estimates and updates.
  • Contribute to user-focused design and usability improvements where applicable.

Documentation, Compliance & Security:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design artifacts, API/interface descriptions, and test procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with software development standards, DoD cybersecurity requirements, and internal quality processes.
  • Support audits, reviews, and technical interchange meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience:

    • Integration and test experience is particularly valuable and strongly preferred.
  • Clearance: Secret Required
  • Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in C++ for application or service development.
  • Experience with at least one additional language: C# and/or Python (scripting for tools, automation, or data processing).
  • Experience with Git-based version control and GitLab or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices and issue tracking using tools such as Jira.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, especially in integration/test environments.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities in cross-functional, technical environments.
  • Ability to work full-time in either an on-site secure facility or approved remote environment, as defined by the role.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with:
    • Integration and system-level testing, including automated test frameworks.
    • Confluence or similar tools for documentation and collaboration.
    • CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) and DevOps-oriented workflows.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Distributed systems, messaging, and networking used in ground mission systems.
