Job description

Hiring:

Work Model: 100% Onsite 5 Days/Week
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Employment Type: W2 or 1099
Visa: / GC

We are looking for an experienced IT Audit / Electronic Trading Controls Consultant to support a leading financial services client within their Internal Audit and Global Markets organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform technology and controls reviews of electronic trading platforms and processes
Evaluate controls related to order handling, execution, market conduct, security, availability, performance, and data integrity
Review system architecture, application logic, technical documentation, and source code
Design and execute audit test procedures, including walkthroughs, code reviews, re-performance, and data analysis
Support BAU and regulatory-driven audit activities
Collaborate with Technology, Engineering, Trading, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams
Use AI-assisted tools such as Copilot for code analysis while independently validating results
Document audit findings, control gaps, testing evidence, and remediation activities

Required Skills:

Need a 12+ Years profile

4 5+ years of experience in Electronic Trading, Technology Audit, Technology Risk/Controls, Engineering Controls, or Internal Audit
Strong understanding of Electronic Trading technology and automated trading environments
Experience with Equities, Equity Options, and Derivatives is highly preferred
Candidates with relevant FX or Credit Electronic Trading experience will also be considered
Ability to understand technical implementations and identify business and regulatory controls within trading applications
Programming/code literacy with exposure to Java and/or Python
Experience with Technology Controls, Application Security, Data Integrity, Change Management, System Availability, Performance, and Technology Risk Management
Experience using SQL, Python, or similar tools for data analysis is preferred
Knowledge of capital markets, electronic market structure, trading workflows, and order lifecycle
Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CFA, or Series 7 are a plus

Preferred Background:
Candidates with experience working for a global bank, investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager, or other institutional trading organization are highly preferred.
