Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Greenville is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our growing behavioral health team. We provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care in a supportive, patient-centered environment focused on safety, recovery, and clinical excellence.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, coordinating treatment interventions, administering medications, conducting assessments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. The RN serves as a leader on the unit and promotes a culture of safety, professionalism, and compassionate care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to providers.
  • Complete admissions, discharges, and required clinical documentation.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and patient care planning.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to support staff during assigned shifts.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi or compact state eligibility.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred:

  • One year of nursing experience.
  • Behavioral health, psychiatric, emergency, or acute care experience.
