Family HealthCare (FHC) is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant. This position will work with the dental team to provide high quality care and positive patent experience to a diverse population.The Chairside Dental Assistant performs duties to assist the Dentists and Hygienists in the provision of dental care and treatment of patients. This role performs duties in the fields of chairside assisting, infection control, inventory and records. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Gather and record patient information and communicate patient needs with the dental team.Chairside assisting during dental procedures. Anticipate dentist's and clinic needs.Navigate patient through appointment while addressing concerns, educating patient, and gaining an understanding of patient perspective while helping to maintain clinic flow.Comply with all dental policy & procedures including current infection control practices and safety measures Processing and sterilization of instruments in accordance with the standards of the clinic.Perform assigned required maintenance duties to ensure adequate inventory supply for patient visits.Support the organization as needed. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:Knowledge of basic dental terminology helpful Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.Effective professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Ability to self-start, work independently, and work as part of a teamAbility to make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations.High adaptability and flexibility.Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect and dignity of patients.Demonstrate passion for and commitment to FHC's mission and its importance to the community.Culturally competent and exhibit cultural sensitivity.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Previous Dental Assistant Experience (preferred) LICENSE, REGISTRATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION:Ability to become licensed as a QDA and/or RD in the states of ND and MNCurrent CPR Certification
