About This Role

We are seeking two childcare professionals to join our team as assistant teachers/aides. These individuals will work Monday through Friday between 6 am and 6 pm, cultivating a loving and enriching environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and at least one year of experience in a preschool or childcare facility.

In this role, the Teacher Assistant will support the Teachers and Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment, assisting in activities to improve care and quality of education, and communicating with parents and staff. They will also implement developmentally appropriate activities, observe and document children's progress, and assist in developing positive relationships with children and their parents.


Job Type: Part Time/Full Time

Pay: Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible hours between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience: 1 year in a childcare center (Preferred)

Work Location: Newport News, VA

  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields.
  • Passionate about working with children and their families.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with children of diverse ages and needs.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
