We are a manufacturer and supplier of Graphic Arts products, as well as a manufacturer of magnesium sheet and plate. As such, the company has two clear personas; it is a product supplier to Graphic Arts market and end users, and it provides lightweight engineering solutions via the use of magnesium sheet and plate. At our facility we do a casting process that melts down the magnesium which then molds it into slabs. We then use the rolling mill to thin out the slabs of magnesium to meet the customer needs.

Position Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems in a rolling mill environment. This role focuses heavily on legacy equipment, including ovens and furnaces, and requires strong systems control experience. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working with a mix of older and upgraded technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues for casting and rolling mill equipment, including motors, drives, control panels, and instrumentation
  • Maintain and support legacy electrical systems, including relay logic, older PLCs, and hardwired controls
  • Work with ovens and furnaces, including temperature control systems, burners, and associated safety circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime
  • Install, test, and commission electrical components during system upgrades
  • Support and troubleshoot PLC systems and HMI interfaces
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), NFPA 70E, and plant procedures
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide timely resolution to production issues
  • Ability to work extended hours during equipment breakdown situations
  • On time & regular attendance at work
Education and Qualifications:
Electrician Certification Required
  • Experience with PLC's, Drives, 480 Volt 3 phase, 4160, 250 Volt DC, reading Blueprints and Troubleshooting
  • Maintain and support legacy electrical systems, including relay logic, older PLCs, and hardwired controls
  • Must be willing to work Monday-Friday 1st shift (Day Shift)
  • Affiliated experience of at least 3 to 5 years with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude -military experience acceptable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication ability
  • Familiarity with schematic and electrical diagrams/illustrations
  • Outstanding understanding of safety, health, and environment regulations
  • Ability to interact well with all levels of employees
  • Proven experience as an electrician
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Industrial setting with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and heavy machinery

  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and on-call, only as needed
