Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Rice Village Animal Hospital

Are you a Licensed Veterinary Technician ready to practice high-quality medicine in a hospital that truly values your skills? Do you thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where excellence is the standard?

Rice Village Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced LVT to join our growing practice.

We are a privately owned, AAHA-accredited hospital located in Houston's Rice Village. We embrace modern veterinary medicine and the tools that support it—including EzyVet cloud-based software, Weave communication systems, IDEXX diagnostics, digital radiography, portable ultrasound, and advanced anesthesia monitoring equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Advanced surgical nursing and anesthesia monitoring, including induction, maintenance, and recovery

  • Dentistry, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and full-mouth dental radiography

  • Patient monitoring, hospitalization care, and pain management protocols

  • Emergency triage, stabilization, and critical care support

  • Diagnostic imaging, including radiology and portable ultrasound support

  • In-house laboratory diagnostics, cytology preparation, and quality control

  • Medication administration and treatment planning support

  • Client education focused on diagnostics, treatment plans, and ongoing patient care

  • Assisting veterinarians with advanced medical and surgical procedures

Schedule

Monday–Friday | Typical shifts between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM 

(No weekend appointment hours, no overnight care, no boarding)

Requirements

  • Texas Veterinary Technician License

  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology Program

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary experience

  • Strong anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and nursing skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
