Job description

Rock Ridge Public Schools is currently accepting applications for an Elementary Indigenous Education Coordinator at the North Star Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position:  Elementary Indigenous Education Coordinator
Department:  Indigenous Education
Location:  North Star Elementary
                  Virginia MN
Pay:  $19.97/Hour 
Hours: 35 Hours/Week with Benefits
             Monday - Friday
             7:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Brief Job Description:  The Indigenous Elementary Indigenous Education Coordinator provides tutoring and support services for students in grades K-6 who are in the Indigenous Education program.  Serves as a cultural liaison for students in special education.  Maintains contact with teachers for student assignments, progress and concerns.  Serves as a liaison between students, families and schools.  Assists with parent involvement and family special events.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Indigenous Education Director and principal.
Education and Experience:  Minimum of an Associates of Arts degree required, preferably with experience working with American Indigenous families.  College degree is highly desirable.
Special Requirements:  Knowledge of the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indigenous students.
