Ignite Your Passion for Science: Become a Key Player in a Dynamic Diagnostic Team Immersed in Nature's Beauty
Overview
We're in search of a meticulous Medical Laboratory Technician who channels their curiosity into every test, ensuring that every result matters in transforming patient care. In this full-time, first-shift position at a community hospital thriving in a picturesque setting, you'll be integral to the delivery of potentially life-altering diagnostics. In a supportive environment filled with dedicated colleagues, you'll receive a comprehensive rewards package aimed at enhancing your overall well-being.
Description - What You'll Do
  • Conduct both routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-covering chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-while adhering to established protocols.
  • Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary preventive maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
  • Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing when necessary.
  • Document all lab procedures methodically, mentor new hires or students, and ensure the maintenance of quality standards within the lab.
  • Foster a safe and clean work environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), to be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Maintain current certification for the duration of your employment.
Skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for optimal collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving in fast-paced or high-pressure conditions.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and remarkable attention to detail, particularly concerning quality control and documentation.
Benefits
  • Attractive hourly compensation based on your experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive and competitive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous time-off that starts day one, including vacation and holiday credits for experienced hires.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional growth.
  • Robust total rewards package that prioritizes your overall wellness.

Transform Lives Through Your Laboratory Expertise
In this role, your dedication ensures that vital diagnostic work is trusted by doctors and patients alike. With each slide examined, you play a crucial part in determining treatment plans and identifying potential health concerns before they manifest. Your expertise translates every test into reliable information that healthcare providers depend on regularly.
A Team Spirit Built on Collaboration
This position transcends being just a job; it represents an opportunity to join a caring community. As you become part of a team committed to continuous improvement, you'll have a say in initiatives that optimize laboratory processes. Engaging in regular in-lab meetings, competency updates, and group discussions encourages an environment where innovative ideas thrive. You will have the chance to join committees and nurture new talent, creating a mentorship legacy.
Harmonious Living: A Place to Call Home
Imagine a community surrounded by the beauty of nature-a place where serene lakes are dotted with recreational activities and vibrant markets brim with local produce and homemade goods. Experience cultural richness through art festivals and live music in charming outdoor settings, where the community spirit is palpable. Days off might involve leisurely canoe trips at dawn or enjoying a concert under an expansive sky. The sense of community here is welcoming, fostering friendships that often extend beyond the clinic, including camaraderie with local residents who value connection.
You'll discover quaint shops, lush trails, and family-friendly events that cater to every interest, whether you're passionate about hiking or exploring the plus of local art. Convenient commutes connect you effortlessly to urban amenities, providing a well-rounded lifestyle that larger cities often lack. While housing costs remain approachable, your income can stretch further, allowing for local adventures, tasty culinary experiences, and exciting events like sports games.
Your Role in Enhancing Community Health
In this vibrant city, every lab technician is key to supporting community well-being. Your impact reaches far beyond your immediate role: quicker diagnoses lead to improved patient care and enhanced health outcomes. The gratitude expressed in heartfelt notes and smiles reflects the deeper appreciation for your reliability in providing timely care.

For those yearning for more than a mere job-if you're motivated by purpose and the desire to make a difference-this is your calling. Whether newly certified or seasoned in your field, you will find a supportive environment that encourages growth and learning.
Take Your Next Step in This Inspiring Journey
Join us where your detail-oriented nature meets a community that values empathy and progress.
