Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level to senior-level candidate in Structural Engineering with a of minimum eight to ten years of experience in the design of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures with both new and existing construction for our Orange County office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform and may oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects.
  • Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
  • May lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs.
  • Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
  • Interest and ability to advance to a senior engineer or project manager position.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience with computer analysis software systems.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable consulting architectural practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering required.
  • Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience the structural design of buildings or similar structures. Experience in DSA and/or HCAI projects preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Approximate Base Salary - $95,000 - $140,000.00 based on experience

  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution
