EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPS
Employment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, professional reference check and motor vehicle record check.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing preventative and ongoing maintenance of Center facility, grounds and systems including the Administration building, cafeteria, recreation facility, and student dorm.
Salary: $23.98/hr
Here is the schedule for this position:
MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Performs repair and preventive maintenance to facility and building systems on Center
  • Researches and recommends purchase of replacement equipment as needed
  • May be asked to oversee the training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area
  • May be asked to oversee the activities and quality of performance of outside contractors performing repairs and/or replacement of equipment
  • Conducts periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure working quality
  • May coordinate activities with the Facilities Maintenance vocational training program, if applicable
  • Completes work orders as assigned in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be 21 years or older to apply
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates of Arts Degree preferred
  • 1 year building maintenance experience required
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers and other building systems preferred
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching
  • Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance
