Job description

Volt is immediately hiring Certified Structural Welder in Oxnard, CA.
As a Certified Structural Welder, you will:
  • Perform structural welding on steel components in accordance with project specifications and blueprints.
  • Execute welds using processes such as SMAW, GTAW, and/or FCAW as required.
  • Welding with .072" Coreshield 8 wire.
  • Suitcase Welding.
  • Read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Ensure all work meets AWS or applicable structural welding standards.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy, strength, and compliance.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with fabricators, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals.

This is a Full Time, Contract to Hire opportunity.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Welder (AWS or equivalent preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in structural welding (required).
  • Ability to pass a welding strength test as part of the interview process.
  • Strong knowledge of welding procedures, codes, and safety practices.
  • Experience working with structural steel, beams, columns, and heavy materials.
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidates with their own welding equipment are highly preferred.
  • Experience in fabrication or construction environments.
  • Additional certifications or specialized welding skills.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $29.00 Per hour
