Job description

Job Overview:
Job Summary**
The Pipefitter at Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas, is responsible for assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems for various industrial and commercial applications, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Job Responsibilities**
* Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs to determine pipe routing, dimensions, and specifications.
* Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to project requirements using various tools and equipment.
* Install and assemble pipe sections, fittings, and valves, ensuring proper alignment and tight connections.
* Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing on piping systems to verify integrity and detect leaks.
* Inspect and maintain existing piping systems, identifying and resolving issues such as corrosion, leaks, or blockages.
* Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, including pipe cutters, threaders, grinders, and welding equipment.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and project managers to ensure timely project completion.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* May assist in the training and mentoring of junior pipefitters.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pipefitter apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
* Proven experience as a Pipefitter, preferably within the energy services or construction industry.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
* Strong knowledge of various piping materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC) and their applications.
* Demonstrated ability to perform precise measurements, cutting, threading, and welding (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW certifications a plus).
* Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, ASME).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and at heights, and stand for extended periods.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
