Job description

VGMS is an all-in-one operations platform for auto, motorcycle, marine, and commercial truck repair shops — work orders, scheduling, inventory, payroll, invoicing, and an AI-powered diagnosis assistant that helps technicians identify problems faster across every major diagnostic protocol (OBD-II, manufacturer-specific systems, heavy-truck codes, and more). Shops sign up for $250/month.

The Role

We're looking for independent sales reps who know the auto repair industry — former shop owners, parts reps, industry consultants, or anyone with real relationships in the space — to refer garage owners to VGMS.

This is not a cold-call script job. You bring the relationships; we bring the product and the payout infrastructure.

How You Get Paid

  • 20% recurring commission on every garage you refer — for the life of their subscription, not a one-time bounty.
  • On a $250/month shop, that's $50/month per active referral, paid out automatically.
  • Commissions transfer directly to your bank account via Stripe Connect — no chasing invoices, no waiting on a manual check.
  • Full earnings dashboard: see every referred shop, its subscription status, and your running commission total in real time.
  • Year-end 1099 generated automatically from your actual payout history.

What You're Selling

You're not selling a hard pitch — you're solving problems shop owners already have:

  • Chasing paperwork and reconciling invoices by hand
  • Not knowing which bay/job is actually done without walking the floor
  • Customers who quietly stop coming back for routine service
  • Diagnosis time eating into billable hours

VGMS directly addresses each of these, and you'll have a rep-facing onboarding guide and materials to help you position it.

Who We're Looking For

  • Existing relationships with independent auto repair shop owners (a book of contacts is a major plus)
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own pipeline
  • No prior SaaS sales experience required — industry credibility matters more
  • Must be a U.S.-based independent contractor able to complete standard 1099 onboarding (EIN or SSN, W-9)
