Job description


Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Hood and Ventilation Technician to install, service, and maintain exhaust systems in restaurant kitchens. This role is ideal for independent contractors with a strong background in ventilation, fire suppression readiness, and NFPA code compliance.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen hood systems, including exhaust fans and make-up air units.
  • Clean duct work, hood filters, and fans to meet fire safety and health code standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues with motors, fans, switches, and air balancing systems.
  • Perform inspections and identify any fire code violations or equipment inefficiencies.
  • Provide detailed documentation of all service and maintenance work.
  • Communicate clearly with restaurant owners or managers regarding repairs and maintenance.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with commercial hood and ventilation systems.
  • Independent contractor with valid general liability insurance and or business license.
