Summary:

The Pressure Washing Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of company facilities through professional pressure washing and window cleaning. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors using medium to heavy-duty equipment to clean exterior building surfaces, interior and exterior windows, roofs, gutters, and various facility areas. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, hard-working, and honest individual with experience in pressure washing and window cleaning operations.

Level I:

Performs routine pressure washing and window cleaning tasks under general supervision. Follows established procedures and safety guidelines while operating pressure washing equipment, tools, and cleaning solutions.

Level II:

Works independently to complete assigned pressure washing and exterior and interior cleaning projects. Demonstrates proficiency with equipment operation, job planning, and safety practices.

Essential Job Functions:

Facility & Exterior / Interior Cleaning
Perform exterior building washing including walls, siding, concrete, and paved surfaces.

Clean interior and exterior windows using professional window cleaning techniques.
Perform roof and gutter cleaning to remove debris and buildup.
Power wash interior and exterior facility areas including sidewalks, loading docks, parking areas, floors, and equipment pads.
Apply and handle appropriate cleaning solvents, soaps, and detergents safely and effectively.
Equipment Operation
Safely operate medium to heavy-duty pressure washing equipment.
Operate and pull trailers used to transport pressure washing equipment.
Operate scissor lifts and boom lifts to access elevated work areas.
Perform basic inspections and routine maintenance of pressure washing and cleaning equipment.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, including working at heights and around pressurized systems.
Maintain awareness of surroundings when working around pedestrians, vehicles, and operational equipment.
Properly store, handle, and dispose of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
Coordination & Communication
Communicate job status, equipment needs, and safety concerns to supervisors.
Coordinate work activities to minimize disruption to facility operations.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused demeanor at all times.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience with pressure washing and professional window cleaning methods.
Proficiency in operating high-pressure washing equipment.
Familiarity with cleaning solvents, soaps, and detergents and their safe use.
Experience towing and maneuvering trailers.
Experience operating scissor lifts and boom lifts.
MEWP certification preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous work experience in manufacturing or facilities setting preferred but not necessary.

Physical Demands:Must be able to occasionally exert push force up to 50 pounds, must have good eye sight and hand dexterity, and able to identify and distinguish colors.

Work Environment:Within safety guidelines, there will be exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
